The ITS R&D Lab Tests Scenarios
and Resolves Dilemmas
ITS R&D department assists customers to confirm or develop the optimal process
parameters, and provide scientific support that the customer will obtain the
specified process parameters before committing to the capital expenditure.
R&D plays a significant role in the ITS proactive approach to serve the customer
through:
4 Complete heat process tests are conducted in the ITS R&D laboratory to prove out the
process parameters prior to manufacturing.
4 Proprietary heat transfer computer software simulates the heating process with
proven accuracy for the application where customer’s product is unavailable
or it is not well suited for testing in a laboratory environment.
4 Research in R&D is managed by a PhD in thermal science and is a US patent holder.

ITS R&D Works Closely with Local Universities
Currently, ITS R&D is cooperating with UW-Milwaukee on a nanoparticle coating project funded by
the National Science Foundation of the United States. (posted December 2009)
