International Thermal Systems supplies engineered-to-order Drop Bottom Furnaces with quench capability. These systems are used for solution heat treating of aluminum castings, sheet metal components and extrusions in the aerospace and automotive industry.

Combining advanced heating technology with industrial proven designs, International Thermal Systems Drop Bottom Furnaces are designed to provide exceptional temperature stability with rapid quench times. Electric, gas and indirect heating are available. Pit and ground level quench tank designs can be selected.

Operating temperatures up to 1200º F (650º C) are available. Temperature uniformity of +/-5º F (+/- 2.8º C) is common on most applications.

• Pneumatically operated door with lever arm actuation provides positive clamping, prevents door leakage and substantially increases seal life
• Temperature stratification in quench tank is greatly minimized with ejector design
• Operator interface through touch screen display
• Hydraulic hoist system with variable quench time settings
• Optional quench management system with closed loop quench recovery and concentration control to +/-5%
• Secondary rinse tank option for glycol quench applications.
