International Thermal Systems Secures Order for Titanium Preheat Furnace

Milwaukee, WI USA. January 23, 2008

International Thermal Systems, a leader in thermal processing and industrial parts washing equipment, announced today that the company has received an order for an electrically heated Portable Titanium Preheat furnace. The furnace will be used for heating titanium sheets to 1800° F prior to forming.

The furnace will be supplied with a specially designed hearth to maintain the titanium sheet's integrity during preheat. The furnace features a recirculation fan to achieve exceptional temperature uniformity of +/- 15° F at 1800° F. The furnace is lined with microporous insulation to insure the exterior remains below 120° F during normal operation. Ribbon heaters mounted on specially designed blocks line the walls of the furnace.
